This is the original score for Midnight Rhythms, a short film by my friend Quincy Woo. His description of the piece:
"In this conceptual, poetic narrative, a young gay man struggles with his sexual identity and spirals into the world of drunken facades and midnight afterthoughts, questioning who he is and if he's willing to take the risk to be his truest self where others can see."

For me, this is the culmination of nearly 2 years of work. I was invited onto this project in late 2019, with filming to take place in, you guessed it, March 2020. Obviously that didn't happen. What did happen was a massive schedule change that gave me a ton of time and a level of control that composers don't often get: I wrote the music first, and the film was (mostly) edited to it! Quincy and I collaborated closely to make sure the edit would flow elegantly with the compositions, and when you watch the film you'll see for yourself!

I'm very proud of this and grateful to all the people who helped make it a reality.
