I made this album about Newberg, the town I've lived in for now almost 8 years. I wasn't born here, but I think of it as my home.
I actually made most of it about a year ago. I wasn't actually sure if it was done so I just sat on it for a while. A lot of things have happened since then: I moved, I got a new job, Julia moved up, Nick and Olivia moved out. Now these tracks feel like they're about a different Newberg. Maybe that's pretentious artist talk, but it's also how I feel. Most of the tracks have recordings from various places around here. Whether or not I captured the essence of those places is, I suppose, up to the listener. Personally, I think I failed big time. But I like the songs. If you click on them individually, I go into more detail about each specific place and time.
I hope you enjoy Home 2. I've walked around this town many times listening to it in various stages of completion, and I hope you will do the same in your town.
